Hall of Famer Karrie Webb returns on the LPGA Tour at the 2022 ShopRite LPGA Classic | LPGA

Galway, NJ, May 26, 2022 – World Golf Hall of Fame member and multiple major champion Carrie Webb will return to the LPGA Tour competition at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer, taking place June 6-12 at Seaview, The Dolce Hotel in Galway , New Jersey

Webb, the seven-time Main Champion from Australia and the 2013 ShopRite LPGA Classic Champion, last competed on the LPGA Tour in January at the Gainbridge LPGA in Boca Rio, where she finished T52.

“We are honored to be returning Carrie Webb to Seaview for the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer, one of her favorite events on the LPGA Tour schedule,” said Tournament Director Bill Hansen. “We look forward to welcoming Curry to our world-class stadium which is the sporting event that kicks off the summer in Atlantic City.”

Webb will join an international field of 144 players in the ShopRite LPGA Classic that features past champions from the past 10 years including defending champion Celine Potter, Mel Reed (2020), IK Kim (2017), two-time winner Anna Nordqvist (2015-16). ) and Stacey Lewis (2012, 2014) and Brittany Linkecum (2011). The current field includes many of the world’s best players, including world number one Jin Young Koo, main champs Lydia Koo, Brock Henderson and Enppi Park, and several LPGA Tour winners NASA Hataoka.
