LIV Golf today confirmed the signing of four-time main champ Brooks Koepka, then revealed that he will be one of 12 captains ahead of the upcoming tournament in Portland.
Koepka, who will be the captain of Smash GC, was officially confirmed by LIV Golf within minutes of PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan’s recent press conference at the Travelers Championship.

Saudi-funded LIV Golf Invitational Portland will also see new signing Bryson DeChambeau transition into the lead role in Crushers GC.
Dustin Johnson, who competed in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational London event after resigning from the PGA Tour, will once again drive a 4 Aces GC.

Who plays at Live Portland Golf?
LIV Golf confirmed 45 of its 48 players at the second LIV Golf event in Portland from June 30 to July 2.
They’ve also notified each player’s OWGR on their last post, which is a bit interesting given that LIV Golf events – so far – don’t show rank points.

But it at least gives us all an idea of the improved star power in Portland compared to London, especially with the inclusion of big-time champions Koepka, DeChambeau, Abraham Anser and Patrick Reed.
Three more Portland players have yet to be confirmed, so maybe we’ll see more PGA Tour stars making the move.
Ricky Fowler has been closely associated with the move to LIV Golf, as are Viktor Hovland, Bubba Watson, Matt Wolff, Jason Kokrak and Adam Scott.
